spurs off a radial

by dan123 » Wed Apr 18, 2007 12:03 am

just wondering whether or not i would be able to spur off a radial circuit (feeding my conservatory) to an outside ip65 rated socket directly through the wall? i know you are allowed one spur per socket on a ring circuit but not as sure about the radial.
any help would be great.
many thanks dan

If radial is just for conservatory check & confirm it should be on 2.5 cable with 20A max fuse/MCB.
If so, then as long as area covered by radial no larger than 20 Mtrs2 there is no limit to number of sockets you can have, bearing in mind to fit an outdoor skt is covered under Part p requirements so you can't legally D.I.Y.
