Hi folks,
Looking for opinions. We have timber-framed sash windows which are double glazed. A couple of months ago, 6 of the sealed units steamed up internally - i.e. between the panes - possibly due to weather/temperature change. Assuming the seals had failed, we arranged to have these units replaced - but the work hasn't been done yet, and after about 2 weeks, the steam cleared up, and hasn't come back for the past month (and counting). We're now not sure whether to go ahead with the replacement - which is quite expensive - or if it's not worth it and we should cancel.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is this a problem we should be looking to fix now, before it gets worse? Or is an occasional bit of steam inside the units not something to worry about?
Opinions/advice appreciated.
Thanks!
James
