Stripping old sealer

by cavalino » Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:19 pm

Hi
What would be the best product to strip the sandstone flooring in our kitchen. It appears to have been sealed but is dark and I want to strip back and reseal. As its indoors I know it will be a bit of a task .Would ammonia work,as I have some and in some areas in the hall the dog has managed to pee and this has stripped the sealer away ,and I thought dog pee had ammonia in it.Any advice would be great.

I'm going to answer my own question.I tried a mix of ammonia, water and washing up liquid and it worked a treat. The floor has come up really great it has taken off the sealer and left a lovely clean bright stone floor ready to be sealed.
