Testing for lead in paint - where to buy a testing kit?

by Stevecon99 » Sat Dec 13, 2014 11:21 pm

Does anyone know where I can buy a test kit, to test for lead in old paint, so that I don't spread nasty dust everywhere.

Years ago I used 1 from B&Q but they don't seem to stock them any more.

Thanks
Steve

I hate to say it, Steve, but I think you can get one on Amazon.

Though if you find out who the seller is on Amazon and then go to them direct you usually get a better price as Amazon take such a hefty commission.

I’ve used the home-testing kits in my work from time-to-time and they seem to be reliable. If there’s a ton of lead paint in your home I’d suggest going with a company that specializes in removal

Regards
