Through bolts vs rawl plugs. Kitchen cupboards

by FixingAli » Sat Oct 30, 2010 10:09 am

Hello, I have some kichen cupboards to fix to the wall. I have aerated concrete (well maybe thermalite due to age of house, but appears alot harder?), with plasterboard ontop (with small gap between). Would it be best to use a screw and rawl plug or some through bolts I've got? If using a rawl plug, are fisher ones better than the brown ones? If I have a M8 fisher plug does anyone know how big a hole I should drill if I want to put an M5 screw in?

Thanks, confused Ali
