Tidying some untidy woodwork that replaced old plinths

Post by Littleowl » Mon Sep 20, 2021 6:20 pm

I had a plasterer dry wall my pantry which had old slate worktops that I wanted to keep. Previously they were standing on crumbling brick plinths so he removed the brick and made me some wooden frames to stand them on. However, he wasn't a joiner and the frames look rather rough where he's joined several bits of wood together. Is there a way I can tidy them up for instance by some kind of cladding, so they look neater?

Hi littleowl
Possibly the easiest way would be to clad the faces with MDT boards.
