Tiling over quarry tiles Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

I need to lay a porcelain tile floor over existing old quarry tiles. I know that in an ideal world I would remove the original flooring and start again, but this is an intermediate solution as the room will be demolished in 3 years and this is just to tidy up what is there.

The floor is uneven so it will need to be levelled but will I need to seal the original tiles first? If so, what is the best solution to use and also, which is the best leveller to use - the area is about 3msq.

Scrub clean, let dry, then apply an undiluted coat of PVA adhesive (see our project on PVA) then use a self levelling screed which you can buy from the following link. Its easy stuff to use for this kind of work.
