Tiling shower enclosure using 600mm x 300mm tiles Advice and information on tiling and fixing tiles to a variety of surfaces

Is it safe to use 600mm x 300mm wall tiles on a newly plastered (plasterboarded) drywall shower enclosure?

Hi winkers
You could tile straight onto the plasterboard but if any water gets through the tiles the board will disintegrate.
Probably worth tanking the walls and fitting a waterproof strip down onto the shower tray.
