Toilet into cloak room by stairs, on concrete? Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hello,

This is my first post, and i am looking for advise. I have just purchased a house where the toilet is in the utility room. First thing i want to do is move the toilet into a cloak room that is by the stairs. I was wanting to install a waste pipe and go under the stairs and out the house round the side of the building and plug it into the waste stack outside.

The only problem i have is that the floor is concrete. I am keen not to fit a macerator unit. Is this achievable without costing the earth?

Any solutions to this problem would be fantastic.

I think your downfall with your idea will be in maintaining the fall required to flush the contents away. You can't take any waste water pipe horizontally any distance at all so by the time you get to the stack, the pipe will be a foot or so under ground.

Start by finding where the drains run outside the property. You may be able to tap in at a different point nearer to the cloakroom along the system. Just don't connect into a storm drain!
