Replace toilet flush system with broken handle linkage

by Darragh17 » Sat Nov 14, 2020 10:50 pm

Hi All
We’ve bought what is an old house and one to do up. Bathroom and kitchen are certainly to be replaced, , but not ready as yet due to funds as will link into rest of house refurbishment.
Today, the link which attaches The handle part of the toilet flush system to the rest of it snapped due to what looks like age/corrosion. Looking to see if I can to replace the internals of the toilet cistern myself but confused with what specific kit to buy as toilet about 30 years old. See pics.
Any help/advice would be appreciated - went to the likes of wickes and b&q today but wasn’t 100% certain what Kit suited and Didn’t really have the knowledge or any pics to explain what I was after.
Thanks in advance

Hi darragh17
If the flush used to work ok just buy a new link - the metal rod which is bent like an S - and fit this.
Regards S
