Telsa 2 by Triton replacing a Bristan Orta Two pipes stick out the wall by approx 2.5inches. The idea was to slide back plates over the pipes fit them to the wall then proceed with other fittings and bar valve easy, peasy.
Stopped dead in my tracks
The Triton has different mode of fitting requiring an elbow on the pipes at wall level with femail end facing to take the Triton dogleg fittings. Not good as it means destroying tiles with no match. There is a Bristan mounting kit 10 at Screwfix where I bought the shower bar and wondered if the nuts on the Triton bar would be compatible with the Bristan 10 kit. Or return the Triton for a refund.
Then order Bristan Frenzy cool touch shower valve from B&Q warehouse (not stocked in store).the has the correct fittings.
I knew I'd have bloody trouble giving 'er in doors' the reins of choice, my fault.
