TV Aerial Help, advice and problem solutions on all aspects of home appliances from washing machines to TV's

Need a new TV Aerial. Any suggestions which I should go for? We live in a digital area 13 miles from the transmitter no real obstructions. Should I go for an aerial with its own booster or a plain aerial. I read that if the booster is too powerfull you can spoil the picture. I'm also considering a Loft installation.
Any suggestions recommendations.

Try an aerial without a booster and see if the picture is OK, if you have a modern TV you should be able to load a dvb screen showing the signal strength.
