My building has this horrible two red, two black lighting in the halls, I've switched out one faulty light from an ancient fluorescent contraption to a neat little e27 with a led bulb.
It worked perfectly for many hours and then died taking the other lights offline with it, where the ancient fluorescent contraption allowed the juice to flow the e27 doesn't seem to shunt power.
Firstly will a higher rated bulb last longer in a circuit with power hungry brethren?
And
What should i have replaced the faulty unit with?
