Untreated wooden floorin - pros and cons

by rabbit » Tue Nov 10, 2009 2:08 pm

Hello,

I would like to put in wooden floorings for a lounge and bedroom. Laminated floors and real wood flooring from various DIY stores seem expensive (upwards from around £16 per square metre). By the time you add lining and underlay the price shoots up.

Would buying untreated planks be cheaper to put in and then staining them. Along with lining and underlay - is this the cheapest option and would it still look good?
