Unvented Hot water Tank Hot Water Pressure Dropping

Post by Nibbles48 » Tue Mar 17, 2020 6:20 pm

Hi,

I have an unvented hot water tank upstairs, fed from a boiler in the kitchen.

For a while the hot water pressure throughout the house has been dropping. The cold seems to be as normal.

Does anyone have any advice or guidance on where to look for the source of the problem, or whether there is anything simple I can do to address?

Possibly linked, I've noticed if there are a couple of outlets running simultaneously, say the shower and a sink, it (sometimes) results in a 'shaking' where the flow drops dramatically - this in both the hot or cold taps. It's feels like the is a partial blockage somewhere.

Any thoughts? Can send a video if that'd help!

Thanks
Steve

Hi Nibbles48,
If you turn on the cold on two separate taps and you get the problem it would suggest a supply flow issue.
You really need to call in a D+D.
