UPVC Skirting board covers - what adhesive or tape to use? Fillers, sealants and adhesives for all types of DIY work. Help, advice and information on all aspects of this subject

I intend fitting UPVC skirting board covers to existing wooden skirting boards.
Can anyone suggest a Adhesive or tape that would give a semi permanent fix so as to enable any new cables that need to be hidden. Thanks in anticipation.

try removing the skirting boards and chip off a channel in the plaster to insert the cables and refix using gripfill, its cheaper and will look better
