Hi, following on from an inspection of our roof by a qualified roofer, the concrete wall of the roof is in disrepair which is contributing to the leaks occuring as well as slates which have moved and the worn felt which need replacing. My query is with regard to the concrete wall of the roof which I have been told is not acceptable under the current building regulations and is therefore illegal. Does anyone know if this is correct even for builidings which have been renovated 25-30 years ago. Apparently according to builiding regulations this type of construction causes leaks in roofs and therefore this is the reason for them no longer being acceptable.
