Living in a Victorian terrace, we thought a loft conversion would be the ideal storage/living solution. However, having gone through all the preliminary hoops, it has turned out to be a very expensive and frustrating business (for us - don't let it put you off!).
So having abandoned that, we are now looking at using our loft space for storage only. It seems that, in order to avoid the need for approvals and to be able to install a ladder rather than a full staircase, only 'light storage' is acceptable. How does a person define 'light storage' please?
