vaillant Turbomax drip

by weelybin » Thu Jan 24, 2008 12:39 pm

I've got a Vaillant turbomax VUx GB 242/282 with a leak problem. It all works fine but looses water pressure slowly and leaks water, about a pint a day. I was told its probably the diaphgram. Can anyone advise if this sounds plausible and if so how do you change it

thanks. :?

Dont go buying a diaphragm til youve looked inside the boiler and only corgi registered engineers can do that. the leak could be coming from any one of many parts of the boiler. Repairing a boiler such as this is not a DIY job!!!

Did this person who said "it's probably the diaphragm" - actually look at the boiler ?

It could be the diaphragm if it's leaking from the diverter valve - If it's leaking from pump, plate heat-ex, main heat-ex, isolation valves, pipework, sensor, auto airvent etc etc - it's not the diaphragm.

Where is the boiler leaking from ?
