MCB keeps tripping in new 10 way Schneider unit

by Spence1412 » Sun Sep 26, 2021 2:23 pm

Just installed a new 10 way Schneider unit.
All ok apart from downstairs ring.
The circuit tests ok.
A mains powered radio and one table lamp work but any more than that and mcb trips.
I have unplugged all appliances and plugged them back in one by one but they all cause tripping.
If there was a short then the radio and lamp wouldn't work would they.
Very confused.

What is "OK" and who tested it? and what was it tested with?

Picture of what trips would help.

Swap the rings over to see if the fault moves to a different circuit.
Then if it has, you have an over sensitive MCB.
So you can change it

I have a feeling it is not a MCB tripping but a RCBO or RCD?

I would guess wrong neutral, but as @Mr White says, who tested the circuits to show OK and how?

There should be an installation certificate showing test results, and either a compliance or completion certificate.
