Hello.
Now, before I start, I know that eventually I will have to speak to a structural engineer to get it done, but I thought, before I spend a few hundred quid finding out that what I was thinking wasn't possible, I'd ask here first.
My 1930's house was originally L-shaped:
At some point, someone added a single-level extension to the kitchen:
The dotted line represents where a load-bearing wall has been removed and replaced by an RSJ.
I was wondering if it would be possible to remove another load-bearing wall to increase the kitchen further:
The dotted lines represent RSJs. Would this be possible without putting in a column?
Thanks,
Carl
