Walls lights after decorating Ask questions and find answers to many subjects relating to electrics and electrical work

We recently decorated our lounge before which we removed our wall lights, but since putting them back and after several checks to ensure they are wired the same way, they still don't work. Bulbs have been checked in other fittings are ok. We have also checked the switch, at skirting board level to ensure that doesn't have a loose wire. Any suggestions where to look next please? Should we buy new fittings?

Have you checked their is supply getting to them ? try the mcb or fuse , put a test on to see if the feed wire is live , best of all if you can aford it get a qualified electrician in
