Water based paint

by toyotaman » Mon Jun 25, 2007 1:05 pm

Having just moved I notice that the previous owners of the property have made quite a mess of the paintwork. They have used a water-based emulsion paint on the walls and in doing so have caught the doorframes/skirting boards and radiators with either the roller they used or with a paint brush and have not bothered to clean it off before it dried. My question is how do I remove such areas without causing too much damage to the woodwork or metalwork?
any helpful hints would be welcome
thanks

regards
Dave

Hot soapy water on the emulsion on the woodwork and lightly rub with a brillo pad and it will come off
