Water filtration

by rossoreed » Thu Jun 07, 2007 8:44 pm

I have an additional sink tap supplying filtered mains water, to reduce the local aftertaste.
The fitration unit comprises of 2 x 10" standard sized cartridges, which are in need of replacing, but I am not sure what type of filters I should fit, as there are many different types available, and in what order should they be fitted?

Has anyone any idea please.

I use activated carbon filter cartridges of the size you quote. Called BRISTAN EMPURA, cost about £35, last for 6 months, then I get a reminder post-card. I recently renewed the whole outfit at £57, from Bathroom World, but the developer, Bristan, still does the filter renewals.
