We live in a mid-terrace house and have discovered rain-water leaking into my wife's fitted wardrobe.
A quick investigation revealed water is running down the wall dividing my loft from my neighbour's. My loft was converted into an office years before we bought the house (the conversion will be 8 or more years old now). I can't see any evidence of water leaking into the main part of the loft - which is the office.
I'm a total novice at all this but I am assuming the source of the leak is the seam-like part of the outside roof that seperates my roof from my neighbour's.
If this turns out to be the case could any of you good folk offer your opinion on (a) how such a leak comes about, (b) how much it might cost to repair and (c) not that I intend to stitch up my neighbours but whose responsibility is the repair of this dividing line?
Thanks in advance,
Jack D
