Waterproofing an exposed block wall

by Suzysue » Wed Jan 11, 2023 7:37 pm

One wall of my garage was built of blocks rather than bricks because it was up against my neighbour's existing garage. Now he plans to demolish his garage which will leave my wall exposed to the elements. What is the best way to waterproof the wall? Given that my neighbour might not allow access in the future I need something that will not need renewing every few years.

Hi suzysue
If you have a small gap to your boundary then use render.
If it’s a large gap the wall could be tile hung.

Thanks stoneyboy. Render was my first thought but tiles are worth considering.
