Hi I'm new to the forum and looking for some advice on what color to paint exposed beams in my lounge. They are currently a reddish brown which I hate and want to paint them a dark putty colour with a lighter shade on the walls and ceiling leaving the window frames and sill brown.....would this look odd? (Its a cathedral ceiling) Once it's done there's no returning it to the original so just want to make sure it'll look right. Any advice very welcome.....thanks!
