WHat is best adhesive for this project please ?

by Bycroft » Fri Nov 13, 2009 9:45 am

I have cut a plastic board (with lip) to the right size to place over a
wooden board upon which my patio doors were placed. The wooden board is 2.4 metres long and approx 175mm deep ( 20mm thick).

The plastic board I have cut to the right size but just need some advice please on what is the best way to fix the plastic board to the wood. It
was suggested to me that Decorators caulk should be used, but having
the caulk some years ago am not sure if it is strong enough.

Obviously the board will be flat and walked on regularly as people go
in and out of the patio door.

Hopefully someone out here will know the answer, so thanks in advance

If its not too late the answer is Gripfill. Caulking???? - LoL unfortunately that isn't an adhesive.

Cheers

if using on plastic make sure you use the solvent-free gripfill (yellow tube) as regular gripfill and pink grip (green and black tubes respectively) contain solvents that can erode many plastics.
