What is the cause of this damp and green dusty mould?

This rear wall is damp, with a vertical 'tide mark' of this green dusty mould. What is the cause?
There was also moisture on the wall itself

Hi stuarty77
If you are referring to the dark strip next to the door frame then this may be as a result of replacement doors being fitted too far forward in the outer brickwork skin.
