What shower for exposed pipes All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

Hello,
We have just changed from a back boiler to a condensed combi boiler. We have a power shower fitted which was there with the back boiler.
The pressure is too much and it is leaking so we need to replace the shower.
The problem is the hot and cold water pipes come down through the bathroom ceiling and go into the power shower at the side of the unit and we do not know what kind of shower to look at getting that will attach to the pipes in the bathroom rather than from through the wall.

There are plenty of shower valves about that will work from exposed pipes in the bathroom. I presume the unit you have is a combined pump and shower?

The problem is going to be getting them to line up. Unless you are happy with dog legs in the pipes, it would be best to re-run the pipes down the wall from the loft.

Check out any mixer valve that has a centre valve and avoid the torpedo shaped.
