What to do About Ripped Edges in Wallpaper?

by Ibsen3 » Mon Jul 23, 2018 11:17 am

Hello,
On a whim, I recently put up a wallpaper mural from 1Wall. It was pretty tricky but ended up going okay apart from the edges. Typically, the video gave no indication of just how difficult it was to cut the paper down to size so we've ended up with lots of ripped edges (see attached picture). The wall can be easily painted over but I'd like some ideas on how to cover up the jagged mess of the edges.
My wife suggested using some sort of decorative masking tape but I have no idea where to go, what it might be called and where I might get something like that which is more or less permanent and very, very thin so as not to detract from the mural itself.
I'm open to any other suggestions besides. Thanks for any help or advice you can offer.
