Which scanner to use with an iMac ?? Help and advice on software, hardware, configuration and general computing issues and problems

Wife recently had to get a new 'Mac as the old G4 died. She now has the new desktop Imac with the 20" screen.
She needs a scanner to use with this, 'photos and text, just for home use, nice and simple please !!
What is recommended ?

If you haven't got a printer then an all in one printer/scanner/copier is ideal.
