Will Using Carrara Marble in EnSuite be too Much over two Walls?

by katykitten » Wed Nov 25, 2015 7:30 pm

im shortly to remodel my ensuite bathroom but am torn between doing both floors and walls in a carrara marble effect tile http://www.tilemagic.co.uk/hd-geneva-wa ... 8x498.html or just one or the other as im concerned that the effect will be OTT! The room measures 8ft by 6ft approx and im having a large shower on one side with fixed screen. Any advice or suggestions would be most welcome!

Certainly a small room to have all the same effect. We would try and break it up a bit

I'm fitting more and more of the carrara and calacatta style tiles all the time it seems to be much more in fashion lately, we done a hotel at the end of last year and it looked really good having all the walls in marble look. If you use glossy tiles it can make the room feel a bit bigger. We had bit left over from hotel and i done my mates house with it, it is a ceramic tile but the effect is the same, the hotel bought them from a place in Ipswich I think they were these ones we fitted. https://totaltiles.co.uk/marble-effect-bathroom-tiles/cascais-carrara-rectified.html.
If I was you I would do all the walls, give it a hotel bathroom feel.
