Wiring a broken double light switch

by Ronnie 56 » Wed Sep 07, 2022 12:03 am

Hello
My double light switch has broken so have purchased a new one
There are 2 brown wires, 1 is live and the other is not, there is also a blue wire and a yellow wire.
the switch has 2 COM connections as well as 2 L1 and 2 L2 connections.
Can anyone advise me on which wires go where? Thanks.

Unlikely, wire colours mean nothing, in theory red, yellow, blue is the three phases, but domestic rarely has three phases so the colours just help trace the wires, three reds or browns would be a lot harder to work out.

Three colours often means two way switching, but best option is pictures.
