Hi all. I own an old house 1947. It was rewired in 1977. Iwant to put a new light in the kitchen which needs earthing. 3 wires are attached to the current plastic light fitting. Red, Blue and second blue. I feel the second blue is maybe an earth wire put in in 1970's rewire , but how can I be sure ???

I know the seventies was a strange decade!
Why would you feel that? when was blue ever a colour used as an earth, not even in jubilee.
It is a strange configuration, two blues and red in 1977.
Double check them also check colours at switch that operates them, then get back!
