Hello all. We're in the middle of buying an older house. The surveyor wasn't able to inspect the roof timbers as they're clad in polythene which has been fitted to stop dust etc falling from the roof tiles into the loft. However, there are signs of historical wood beetle in some of the floorboards. Does anyone know whether there is insurance we can take out IF wood beetle are later discovered? Would this be covered in normal buildings insurance? I'm hoping someone can help as it's threatening the purchase!!
