These past 2 days have been refurbing my bathroom. Had the need to remove the old skirting boards from a section and found evidence of woodworm at the rear of the panel.
Woke to find this morning to find holes in the skirting board next to the piece removed and also 1 in the base of the door frame. I planned to remove all the skirting board from the bathroom over the next few days anyway.
Will removing the skirt help the situation & I have found a Boron treatment that i can do myself...... is it worth it?
I have also done a bit of woodworm research & it's seems it's probably either the common furniture beetle or the waney edge borer ???
Info states the waney edge borer does not need treatment, why would that be - it makes the wood look ugly with all the holes!
Anyway i've attached a couple of pics if this helps.
Thanks in advance for any advice
