WORX Lawn Robot WR142E

Post by keldsor » Sat Apr 25, 2026 7:31 am

Hi all !
I have a lot of problems with error message "Fence wire is missing !" on this machine - only periodically ... else it's working nicely !

I HAVE checked the fence wire with Ohm-meter and AM-radio and it has been running nicely with few error messages in nearly 2 years, but right now it's very unstable.

All my checking leave me thinking there is nothing wrong with the fence wire itself but maybe the SENSOR on the robot is loose or just has a rusty connection.

The is a small compartment under the hood of the robot maned "OFF LIMITS" but it's NOT the sensor it's just an option you can buy and it's NOT installed on my robot - in the compartment there is only a connector ... no sensor.

Any one here knowing where the SENSOR for the fence wire is placed on the robot itself ?

Fence signal is picked up by coils in the front bumper area. Try to check wiring and connections there could be loose or corroded causing the random errors
