Would cellotex insulation keep ambient temperature in shed?

Post by Jerry stanley » Wed May 19, 2021 6:57 am

I am thinking of lining my shed with 50mm cellotex so i can keep my snakes in there. Would that keep the ambient temperature quite stable or would i need thicker?

Hi Jerry Stanley
If you could line the walls (including over windows), roof and floor without gappy joins and tape all joins, then yes it would be fairly stable. You would still have to do something to control the temperature to the ambient you are aiming for. So if it’s 25 outside you are unlikely to get 15 inside.
