Hi there hope i explain this so that you can understand.
OK so am renting property with double back doors in the conservatory, at the bottom where they join there is a gap that you can see the garden through. Now one of the doors seems fine, the hinges are fine and even, and the door is straight measured with a spirit level. The other door has been blown back a few times by the wind causing the bottom hinge to come out a few times, the hinge has been reapplied a few times that the holes are too big for the screws so now the hinge has been applied at its tightest point causing the door to be as close to the hinge joint as possible and the adjustment been let out to it's fullest so there is no more adjustment left. the door now does not meet in the middle at the bottom so will not even go in the lock at the bottom, you can see the grass as clear as day and the door is not level on the spirit level. What I would like to know is if I can take the hinge off of the door and frame and move it up or down slightly so there is fresh unscrewed pvc to screw the hinge into so the door can fit when it is closed.
Hope someone can help cause it's getting really cold now.
