We have lived in the same 1900's terraced house for 13 years. In the past year I have noticed mould spots appearing on the bedroom wall. This is a 1st floor room and the distribution of the spots is fairly random. The wall does not feel damp and the spots are about the size of a 50p but there are lots of them. Is this a ventilation problem? We have two replacement PVC windows in the room and both bottom panes have condensation within them. Any Advice?
jules66,
First move is to eliminate condensation as a problem, do you leave the windows open, is there a night vent position or trickle ventilators, do you use the room with the windows closed?
Condensation in the DGUs is not related.

Thanks for the response. We do have a night vent position on the windows but don't often use them so obviously this could be our problem. The windows are still under guarantee so I will look into getting the company back to replace the bottom of each unit.
Should we remove the wall paper and redecorate or just wipe the wall down with a mould killer?
