Hi, firstly good luck with your project, It's great to hear about people embarking on projects like this!
This is the first morticer we ever used. It's low priced but solid ad reliable with no shake so each cut is clean and crisp

https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... -32mm.html These are as good as it gets but a little pricey. A step down, but with no real noticable drop in quality of cut is this range which is on a special offer at the moment with two free chisels also
https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... -free.html You will be using them a lot so sharpening the chisels is a consideration. We have just started working with a guy who makes the G-Sharp diamond sharpener here

Good luck with the project and please do send us some photos and let us know how you get on with it, and the tools if you buy any.
