I am wanting to convert my attached single story garage into a utility space and an office space.
In the utility space I want to put a shower but would have very little headroom once I've damp proofed and insulated the current floor. The floor is typical concrete slab. Can anyone advise if I would be able to excavate the floor in the proposed utility space then create a floating floor at depth lower than current slab? What would be needed to get it passed by building control?
Thank you in advance.
