Hi, I hope you can help me. I know this has been posted many times before, i've tried to read all of them but from the ones i've read they differ slightly or the person was trying to do something i didn't understand. And to avoid any doubt in the situation i'd prefer to present my specific challenge - lets hope i give you guys enough info!
Current State
I have an external light with a PIR sensor which is connected to an internal light switch. We're not entirely sure how the light switch works - we were shown once but we've forgotten. Its not quite on/off but im sure you guys know!
Target State
We'd like to remove the existing PIR light and install a new light (which does not have a PIR sensor) and we'd like to change the wiring to support an on/off operation of the light at the switch.
I think I need to terminate one of the wires but i don't know which one - any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
This is the new light i'm hoping to install in place of the existing external PIR light:

ps. not sure why the images are wonky - they are the right way round on my computer!
