I do not know technical terms, so apologies in advance; this also made it impossible to search.
So I have a wide drawer in a fitted kitchen that pulls out 100% on extended rails. It was put in when the house was built ca. 12 years ago. The front panel has dropped on one side.
There is a small plastic cover on each side (front, top) that pulls over to reveal a mechanism inside, and looking at that and from the front I can see a piece of metal that is clearly supposed to have two screws going through it into the front panel; the screws have come out, and hence the panel has dropped. I have recovered the two screws, but I would need to get the piece of metal out to re-fix the screws.
The piece of metal has a large diameter screw/bolt in it, accessible from behind the plastic cover. It is about 12 mm across, cross-headed. It will unscrew a short distance, and it will screw in a short distance - just a couple of mm between the two. Either way, I cannot get the metal piece out.
Am I missing something here? Any advise?
