It is my understanding that woodworm cannot survive in normal house temperatures (this from a builder freind when checking a very old property with millions of worm holes in origional timbers - these were diagnosed as old holes and inactive), if you have central heating then yoiu probably have nothing worry about but worth getting it checked all the same, hope this alleviates your worry while you get a specialist response
