Yes, it would give a little more pressure, but the problem is, it won't work.
Firstly, the tank being so small, would empty in no time and the shower would stop. More importantly, the hot water cannot be fed from that tank so would come from the lower tank and still suffer from the low pressure problem you are trying to avoid. In fact, it may not even work at all, because the cold water would just back feed up the hot pipe. Also, there is a scalding risk if the cold runs out and the hot does not.
Either raise the existing cold storage tank as high as possible or fit a shower booster pump.
