Gas hod has stopped working :-(

by andy.g.allen » Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:35 am

I have a 4 flame gas hob and one of the flames has stopped working. Have checked where the gas comes out etc and it's all clean, but there is absoultely no noise of gas coming out when I turn the gas on to the flame that isn't working. Something easy that I can check or how much would a call out cost roughly?

The injector may be blocked, you have to weigh up the cost of a call-out against the age, condition and cost of a new hob.

hi it does sound like a blocked injector, if you can see the injector one way to clear it is, remove one single hair out of a paint brush & try to push it through the middle of the injector, this should clear the blockage. good luck
