My house is at the corner of a forked junction and is therefore wider at one end than the other. It has a conventional tiled sloping roof, but at the top there is a leaded flat section, which is about one metre wide at one end and two metres at the other.
My question is: how can I (or anyone else) get access to the roof for repair when the hook on a roofing ladder is too narrow to fit over the apex of the roof? Is a scaffolding tower going to be necessary every time I need to replace a tile (which is quite often as the roof is old)? Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't suppose there is some sort of special roof ladder that will be safe to use with my roof?
Thanks
Peter
