My house is built out of huge stones which in our diningroom are on show. This has for four years been great and added character to the property but frankly we are sick of the site of them now and just want a nice smooth, clean wall. From investigating it, it seems that dry lining the walls is the best solution. My issue is I want to use frame rather than dot n dab so that in the future someone can access the original stone walls if they wish to, but the stone wall is incredibly un even and I can only imagine that leveling frame work is going to be a complete nightmare.
Advise Please. Or maybe a better but completely different way of covering up the wall.
